Hey - hey - hey!

When Evelyn is frustrated with me, she says "hey - hey - hey," just like I say to her when she is too squirmy. I didn't realize how often I say "hey - hey" until she started saying it back to me.

In the morning she wakes up and says "Da-ee." She finds Eric in the bed and climbs on top and bounces on his bladder. Hee hee.

Yesterday Eric pulled her sheep pants down to change her diaper. She thought he was taking her pants off and got all upset - "No! Baaaaaaa. Baaaaa." She loves her Ba-a-a-a pants.

Two weeks from Saturday and I get to see Miss Evelyn!! Hey hey hey!!!!
It is funny (and scary) how kids say back what they hear. All of a sudden you have to be careful about words! I remember when Liz was a toddler and I told her to do something, and she put her hands on her hips and said "Now look here young lady...." then I had to bust out laughing. Because I would call her young lady when she was in trouble (the same as my parents did to me) and Steve used to say, "Now look here...." when he was warning her.
The good thing is, now she is twenty one and I have read some of her papers. She has the same moral values as her grandparents and parents. I am happy she "heard" us all those years!!!
